چکیده

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is an endocrine disorder and metabolic syndrome. Ovarian fibrosis pathological change in PCOS has gradually attracted people’s attention. In this study, we constructed a mouse model through the use of dehydroepiandrosterone. Sirius red staining showed that ovarian tissues mice had obvious fibrosis. Prolyl oligopeptidase (POP) serine protease N-acetyl-seryl-aspartyl-lysyl-proline (Ac-SDKP) its catalytic product. Studies show abnormal expression activity POP Ac-SDKP are closely related to tissue It was found decreased ovaries mice. Further studies promoted matrix metalloproteinases 2 (MMP-2) transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGF-β1) granulosa cells. Hyperandrogenemia typical symptom PCOS. We testosterone induced low MMP2 high TGF-β1 overexpression treatment inhibited effect on vitro model. conclusion, Low changes fibrotic factors contribute by androgen.

MicroRNAs Related to Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common, though heterogeneous, endocrine aberration in women of reproductive age, with high prevalence and socioeconomic costs. The syndrome is characterized by polycystic ovaries, chronic anovulation and hyperandrogenism, as well as being associated with infertility, insulin resistance, chronic low-grade inflammation and an increased life time risk o...

Prolyl oligopeptidase is involved in release of the antifibrotic peptide Ac-SDKP.

N-acetyl-seryl-aspartyl-lysyl-proline (Ac-SDKP) is a ubiquitous tetrapeptide hydrolyzed almost exclusively by angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). Chronic treatment with Ac-SDKP decreases cardiac and renal fibrosis and inflammatory cell infiltration in hypertensive rats. However, very little is known about endogenous synthesis of Ac-SDKP, except that thymosin-beta4 may be the most likely precur...
